Our coaches are all highly trained and certified professionals with a life-long dedication to wellness, health, and fitness. Experienced at managing groups, as well as working with individuals in a one-on-one setting, our staff will teach, motivate and inspire you to get (and stay) in shape.
Stephen Flamm

Stephen opened Cincinnati Strength & Conditioning in 2008 as an outlet for his interests in coaching, education, and physical training, and quickly discovered a passion for program design and athlete development. Along the way he’s been part of thousands of clients’ journeys and growth, both in-house and remotely, along the full spectrum of re-hab, health, aesthetic, and performance goals.

Chelsea McCarty

Chelsea has been coaching since 2013 and covers classes from early morning to late afternoon. She enjoys coaching the Olympic lifts as well as generally getting people fit. Outside of the gym she runs Oh Chip! Baking, enjoys heading out for a cup of coffee with her husband Josh and spending time with her cat, Bean.

Jessie Heikenfeld

Jessie began coaching at CSC in 2014. As an OG member and coach, she loves to help clients get their first pullup, and coaching that movement in general. She coaches the mid-morning classes most days, and outside of the gym, loves to cook.

Maddy Blaydes

Coaching since 2023, Maddy has a dark side in that while she loves coaching any overhead lift, she really enjoys burpees. Doing them, or watching you do them. You will find Maddy coaching on Sundays, the occasional Saturday and random times during the week. Outside of the gym, she enjoys yoga/Pilates, reading, and grabbing some sun by the pool.

Ryan Kidd

Ryan began his coaching career in 2022 and you will find him coaching early mornings and Thursday evenings. His passion is working with clients on Olympic lifts where small adjustments can lead to big improvements. He also enjoys cooking and traveling.

Kelsey Blaze

Coaching since 2017, Kelsey’s passion is the Olympic lifts. She has a solid foundation of skill and knowledge here that she easily passes on to clients with big dividends. She also enjoys reading, hanging out with friends, and golfing.

Lucas Gerotto

Lucas started with the coaching staff in 2023. You will find him coaching on Saturdays and he loves coaching handstands and handstand pushups. “They’re super fun exercises and rewarding to go through the progressions”. Outside of the gym he is still active with swimming, biking and more.

Nick Coy

Nick joined the team in 2023. He covers mornings, and the occasional Saturday class. He loves coaching gymnastics movements as well as Olympic lifts and outside the gym, likes to hang out with his wife Coyrnn and their dog Ezri.

Yamil Michelen

Yamil joined CSC in the summer of 2021. As a healthcare provider, he sees exercise as a way to prevent illnesses and help clients live a healthier life. That’s how he got interested in coaching! His favorite movements are any type of snatch, wall walks and double unders, and his favorite movement to coach would be different jump rope techniques. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his wife and three kids, traveling and cooking.

Nolan Shea

Nolan started CrossFit in 2014 and he’s been a member of CSC since 2020. He enjoys gymnastics movements and olympic lifting, especially overhead movements. In his free time, he enjoys playing soccer, skiing, and trying to keep up with his two rambunctious boys!

Toby Coston

Toby has been doing CrossFit since 2016 and has been a member of CSC since early 2025! He enjoys coaching olympic lifting and power lifts (squat, deadlift, press.) His free time is spent with his family and doing projects around the house.
